Obituary of Shirley Bernice Stevenson

With heavy hearts the family of Shirley B. Stevenson, age 84, announce her peaceful passing at home as wished with her family by her side on Thursday, August 5, 2021, after a courageous battle with cancer.

Affectionately known as "Shippy", Shirley will be remembered by all who loved her as a very devoted & loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, aunt, cousin and friend.

Shirley is survived by her loving husband of 60 years, Dennis Stevenson; children: Derrick Stevenson (Luce Labadie), Patricia Waugh (Craig) and Pamela Doman (Bill); grandchildren: Sarah, Stephanie and Colin; great grandchildren: Brooklyn, Brayden, Brielle and Blake; as well as many nieces, nephews, extended family and dear friends. In addition to her parents, Shirley was predeceased by her sisters: Patricia Kock and Barbara Leaman; and infant son Peter.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Reid’s Funeral Home (506-832-5541), 1063 Main Street, Hampton, NB. A celebration of Shirley’s life will be held on Wednesday, August 11, 2021, at 11:00am from St. Paul’s Anglican Church, 486 Kennebecasis River Road, Hampton, NB. A private family interment will take place immediately following the service in St. Paul’s Anglican Church Cemetery.

The family wish to thank Dr. Bewick and the nurses of the Heart Function Clinic, Dr. D. Andrew, and the nurses of KV Extra Mural for their excellent care and support.
