Obituary of Ada Johnson
It is with sadness, the family of Ada Beatrice Johnson, age 94 of East Riverside, NB, wife of the late Keith D. Johnson announces her passing which occurred on Wednesday, May 27, 2015, at the Shannex Embassy Hall, Quispamsis, NB. She was born on May 28, 1920 in Lakeside, NB, a daughter of the late Willis and Grace (Ganong) Wanamaker.
Ada is survived by her daughter Dianne Svavarsson and her husband Freeman of Lakeside, NB; son David Johnson and his wife Brenda of Hampton, NB; sister Mabel Yeo and her husband Ken of Bragg Creek, Alberta; sister in-law Isabell Wanamaker of Nauwigewauk, NB; grandchildren Heather Johnson of Hampton, NB and Keith and his wife Cheryl Johnson of Barnesville, NB and great grandchildren Davy and Nancy Johnson. She was predeceased by sister Olive Urquhart and brothers Byron Wanamaker and Ken Wanamaker.
Ada was a resident of East Riverside the greater part of her life. She was a nurse at Chipman Memorial Hospital before moving to East Riverside in 1946. She was a member of St. David's United Church, CMH & CCH Nurses Alumni, O.E.S. St. Stephen Chapter #8 and the Kennebecasis Seniors Club.
She is resting at Reid’s Funeral Home, 1063 Main Street, Hampton, (506) 832-5541, with visiting on Sunday, May 31, 2015 from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 PM. Funeral service conducted by Rev. Kelly Hudson-Lewis, will be held on Monday, June 1, 2015, at 2:00 PM, from Reid’s Funeral Home Chapel.
