We are deeply saddened by the news of John's passing.He will be forever remembered for the kindness he showed during the time he owned an apartment building on Queen St in the South end of the city.He had an old Westinghouse stove in the basement of the building (a collector's item we think).He was proud of the relek and proudly showed it to my now husband of 26 yrs.Paul enjoyed his find greatly and later that year John offered it to us.Happy to have it we replaced nobs.had it rewired proudly displayed the old stove in our now home for nearly 15 years or more before we replaced it with something more modern.The stove was an enjoyed conversation piece for years as we told the story of how and when we aquired it from John.He was fondly remembered as a kind and caring man during story time.We are so sorry for your loss.He will always be warmly remembered.

So very sorry for you loss, I remember John (Jackie) as we all called him from kids growing up on Jean St. he was always hanging out with my brothers in the yard of Bayview School and ball field by Simonds Jr. As a big family we always had fun hanging out and playing sports with the other kids in the neighbourhood. Older brother Tim and Jackie is whom I remember so well and they were always so friendly and always had time to talk whenever they seen you.
