Obituary of Lee Brown

It is with sadness the family of Joseph Lee Edward Brown, age 97, of Wickham, NB, announces his passing, which occurred on Friday, May 15, 2015 at Great Oaks Special Care Home. Born on May 9, 1918 in Kingston, he was a son of the late Thomas and Jane (Christie) Brown. He spent most of his life farming and working in the woods, Lee moved to Penobsquis in the late 70s till 3 years ago when he went to live at Great Oaks Special Care Home in Wickham. Lee is survived by his sisters Jean Scribner of Wickham, NB and Helen Gignac of BC; sister-in-law Madelene Brown of Ottawa, ON; as well as several cousins, nieces and nephews. Besides his parents, Lee was predeceased by his sister Annie Brown; and brothers: Thomas, Alex, Jim and Andrew Brown. Arrangements have been entrusted to Reid’s Funeral Home (506-832-5541), 1063 Main Street, Hampton, NB. As per the family’s request, no visitation or funeral service will be held. A private interment will take place at Trinity Cemetery, Kingston. The family wants to thank Dorothy McDonald and the staff at Great Oaks for all the special care.
