It is with deep sadness the family of Phyllis Lorraine Roy, age 52, wife of Joe Roy, of Peel, NB, announce her unexpected death on Monday, March 2, 2015 at her residence in Peel, NB. She was born on November 26, 1962, in Saint John, NB, a daughter of Reg & Marcia Currie, Edna Allen and the late Roy Doherty. Phyllis is survived by her husband of 23 years Joe; daughter Sara Roy (Michael Jones) of Hartland, NB; sons: Mathieu Mallet (Crystal Fougere) of Shediac, NB, Ryan Roy of Saint John, NB; grandchildren: Issac Jones, Preston Mallet, Parker Mallet and Bentley Roy; sisters: Mary MacKenzie (Avard), Katherine Doherty, Patricia Doherty (Scott Trites), Renelle Girouard (Allain); brothers: Stephen Doherty (Larry Dupuis), Roy Doherty (Carrie), David Currie (Donna), Shawn Currie (Connie) and several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins. Phyllis is predeceased by her sister Emily Doucette and brother Charlie Doherty. She is resting at Reid’s Funeral Home (506-832-5541) 1063 Main Street, Hampton, NB with visitation on Sunday, March 15, 2015 from 3 to 5 and 6 to 8 pm, and Monday, March 16, 2015 from 3 to 5 and 6 to 8 pm. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on March 17, 2015 from St. Joseph's Catholic Church (4347 Loch Lomond Road, Saint John, NB) at 11:00 am. Interment will take place at St. Alphonsus Cemetery in the spring. Donations in memory of Phyllis may be made to Portage Atlantic or to the charity of the donor’s choice.
