My sympathy to the family. I worked with Sophy many years ago in Saint. She was very kind to me then - she was a great lady.

I wish I lived closer to N.B. so I could attend Aunt Sophy's funeral. I thought the world of her and tried to call and visit as often as I could. She was a lovely lady and beautiful person. We always loved when she and Uncle Hollis came to Deer Island to visit. She will be missed by so many.

Dear Elsa, I know that your Aunt Sophy held a special place in your heart and that her passing has severed yet another tie to that place called Hampton. She and Hollis were wonderful neighbours for many years and very kind to my own mother and father in thier declining times. I know how sad you feel at this time and want you to know that I am thinking of you. Time does not diminish the ties that bind. Sincerely, Naomi

We will always remember Aunt Sophy's loving and gentle spirit. Her faith and positive energy were a great encouragement to all. She always had a twinkle in her eye and radiated a warmth that lifted the hearts of everyone who was in her presence. She was much more than an 'great Aunt' to us - she was a second grandmother to all of her nieces and nephews. Visits to see Aunt Sophy and Uncle Hollis were always special - they were always so thrilled to see and host us whenever we could drop by. You could always be sure of great laughs, stories, and of course, great food whenever we visited them, and we have fond memories of these visits in their quaint Hampton home. Thank you, Aunt Sophy, for the beautiful life you lived. We will miss you, but will always cherish the times we had with you until we see you again. In loving memory, Scott and Sharon

I am sorry to have just read where your dear "Aunt Sophy" has gone to be with the Lord. My first thought was "a beautiful gentle lady now enjoying the glories of Heaven". I thank God for her. She loved all of you and was proud of each of you - she told me!!! I know that you will treasure your memories and that you will see her again in the Lord's timing. I am sorry that I can't be there as I will be away but I will be praying for each of you. Love, Donna Myers Isaiah 43:1,2

I am so sorry to hear of the loss of your beautiful "Aunt Sophy". I know how special she was to all of you. It seems like yesterday that we'd sneak down to her house where we were always greeted with a warm smile and a fresh-baked cookie. May she rest in peace.

I am saddened to learn of Sophy's passing . I was playing at the snow Centre last Wednesday and Sophy attended the service. I don't think she knew who I was, but she was bright and with a friend. The first time I met Sophy, I was living with mom and dad on Centennial Dr. and I backed out of my driveway and WHAM, hit her car!!! Not a lot of damage, but stupid of me. That was 35 years ago and it has been my pleasure to have known Sophy and Hollis. My sympathies are with each and everyone of you.
