The death of Winnifred (Bowland) Bannister, wife of the late Elvin M. Bannister, age 95, of Hampton, NB, occurred on August 20, 2014, at Marysview Special Care Home, Hampton, NB. She was born on November 28, 1918 in Upham, NB, the daughter of the late Wilbert and Adelia (Sherwood) Bowland. Winnie had a great love for gardening, card games, bingo, reading, her family and her pets. For most of her life she was a care giver for many people in her home. Winnifred will be dearly missed by daughter Marie Ramsey; grandchildren Gregory (Colleen), Carl (Jacqueline), Laura (Richard), Kelly, Terri (Shawn), Michael (Chris), David (Diana) and Paul and Scott; great grandchildren Rebecca, Rachael, Sophia, Alyson, Andrew, Gunner, Lisa and Jacob: daughters in-law Ellen and Fran; foster daughter Faith; foster granddaughter Korrah, several nieces and nephews and many extended relatives. She was predeceased by daughter Patricia, sons Elvin S. and Kenneth Bannister and grandson Ricky, sister Annie, brothers Sherwood (Sam), George and Wendell Bowland. The family would like to thank the Management and Staff of Marysview Special care Home, where Winnie spent the past six years of her life.
