It is with deep sadness, the family announces the death of Derek Daniel Savoie age 29 of Saint John, NB which occurred on July 13, 2014, at his residence. Derek was born on January 21, 1985 son of Marilyn Butcher and her husband Albert Butcher of Upham, NB. Besides his mother and step father, Derek is survived by; step brother Christopher Butcher of Bloomfield, NB; uncle Hartley Kilpatrick of Upham, NB; and two cousins Anthony and Leo. He was predeceased by his maternal grandparents Douglas and Bertha Kilpatrick. Derek was a quiet, outgoing and helpful person who loved life. He is resting at Reid’s Funeral Home 1063 Main Street, Hampton, NB (506) 832-5541 with visitation Thursday July 17, 2014 from 4 to 7 pm. Funeral service, conducted by Bud Belyea will be held on Friday July 18, 2014 at 11am from St. Peter’s Anglican Church, Upham, NB, followed by internment in the adjoining cemetery.
