It is with great sadness, the family of Viola Hutchings Fillatre, of Saint John,NB announces her death which occurred on July 2, 2014, at the Loch Lomond Villa, Saint John, NB. She was born in Bloomfield, NB, the daughter of the late Dewey and Gertrude( Farren) Hutchings. Viola enjoyed softball, baseball, sewing, socializing, playing the piano and was a devoted Catholic. Viola is survived by her daughters Bernadette Hutchings of Saint John, NB and Coleen McKnight of Kingston, NB; brother Vincent (Malita) Hutchings of Haverville, Mass; sister Mary McKnight of Hatfield Point, NB; three granddaughters Amy Chiasson, Nichole Ferguson and Shelley Basque of Saint John, NB; 10 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by brothers Donald and Royden Hutchings and sisters Dorothy Haley and Edna Duval. Reid’s Funeral Home (506-832-5541), 1063 Main Street, Hampton, NB, are entrusted with arrangements. There will be no public visiting by request of the family. There will be a graveside service at Sacred Heart Cemetery, Norton, NB on Monday July 7, 2104 at 11:00 am, officiated by Father Arnie Hachey.
