Obituary of Jean Morrell

The death of Jean Elmira Morrell, wife of the late Harry Morrell, occurred at the Saint John Regional Hospital on Monday, June 30, 2014, surrounded by her loving family. She was born on May 12, 1922 in St. Martins, NB, the daughter of the late Walter and Clara (McLeod) Yeomans. Jean is survived by daughter Donna Lee Hebb and her husband Merv; son Terry Morrell and his wife Arlene, both of St. Martins, NB; grandchildren Bradley (Margaret) Bennett, Janelle (Scott) Arseneault, Corey (Stacey) Morrell, Courtney (Michelle) Morrell; great grandchildren; Hannah, Claire, Ashton, Jackson, Jacey; step-mother Genevieve (Yeomans) Dugas of Saint John, NB; half-brother Robert Yeomans of Saint John, NB; half-sisters Heather MacDonald of Saint John, Joanne Yeomans of Moncton, NB; several nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by her brothers Edward, Horace; sisters Muriel Hoey and Ida Armstrong. Jean was a member of the St. Martins United Church, an honourary member of the Right Worshipful Provincial Grand Lodge of NB and also an honourary member of the St. Martins Seniors Citizens Club. She was a charter member of the Fundy L.O.B.A. #1190 of St. Martins and treasurer for 39 years. Arrangements are entrusted to Reid’s Funeral Home (506-832-5541), 1063 Main Street, Hampton, NB. Visitation will be held from St. Martins United Church, on Thursday, July 3, 2014 from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 PM. Funeral service, conducted by, Rev. Leander Mills, will be held from St. Martins United Church at 11:00 AM, on Friday, July 4, 2014. Interment will take place in St. Martins Community Cemetery.
