Obituary of Marion Kilpatrick
It is with sadness, the family of Marion Elizabeth Kilpatrick, of Saint John, NB, age 72, announces her death which occurred on June 24, 2014, at the Loch Lomond Village, Saint John, NB. She was born on January 6, 1942 in Saint John, NB, the daughter of the late Reginald and Eileen (Smith) Kilpatrick.
Marion was born in 1942 with a disability. Her disability was a challenge for her parents and sisters during her earlier years but because her parents always treated her as normal she became a very important part of their family. She attended Ketepec School for a number of years and later attended Cerebral Palsy School. She loved working at Key Industries. Marion lived at home in Morna for 38 years and spent the remainder of her life at Loch Lomond, where she received excellent care and was very well known to the staff.
Marion is survived by her sister Carol Patterson and her husband Bill of Saint John, NB; brother-in-law Walker Merritt of Upham, NB; several nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by her sister Nancy Merritt.
She is resting at Reid’s Funeral Home (506-832-5541), 1063 Main Street, Hampton, NB, with visiting on Thursday, June 26, 2014 from 6 to 8 pm. Funeral Service will be held from St. Peter’s Anglican Church, Upham on Friday, June 27, 2014 at 2:00 pm followed by interment in the adjoining Cemetery.
