It is with a shattered heart that the family of Robert Joseph Doyle announces his passing which occurred on October 27, 2020 at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born in Saint John, NB on February 3, 1952, he was the son of the late Harry and Bertie (Fulton) Doyle. Robert is survived by his loving wife, Elizabeth "Betty" Doyle (Barry); daughters: Jennifer Doyle of Saint John, NB and Lana Sproul and her husband Jason of Strathmore, AB; sisters: Kathy Bridges and her husband Ron of St. Martins, NB and Sharon Lowe and her husband Jamie of Saint John, NB; brother Frank Doyle and his wife Pamela of Smithtown, NB; grandchildren: Emily, Matthew and Luke. Bob is also survived by his special buddies, Jeramiah and Bentley, as well as several nieces and nephews. Bob, like his father, loved the outdoors and spent many hours in the woods hunting, trapping, snaring, and fishing. He loved spending time playing cards and dice with family and friends, and especially playing checkers and taking ATV rides with Jeramiah. Arrangements have been entrusted to Reid’s Funeral Home (506-832-5541), 1063 Main Street, Hampton, NB, where visitation will be held on Sunday, November 1, 2020 from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8PM. Due to COVID-19 restrictions, a private Mass of Christian Burial will be held with a family interment to follow at the Holy Trinity Anglican Cemetery in Smithtown. Donations in memory of Robert may be made to the Lung Association (NB), the Holy Trinity Cemetery Fund – Smithtown, or the charity of the donor’s choice.
