It is with great sadness, but acknowledgement of a life well lived, that the family of Elva Mae Cochran announces her passing which occurred on Thursday, October 1, 2020. Born in Seeleys Cove, NB, on April 18, 1926, she was a daughter of the late Herbert and Hazel (Greer) Holland. Elva was a woman of strong faith, and family values. Celebrations of birthdays, Thanksgiving, and Christmas, and any other special events when she had all of her family around her, gave her great joy. She loved playing cards, jigsaw puzzles, and reading. Elva is survived by her loving children: Herbert Cochran (Heather) of Dickie Mountain, NB, John Cochran (Debbie) of Bloomfield, NB, and Tim Cochran (Jolena), of Quispamsis, NB; along with several grandchildren and great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents, Elva was predeceased by her loving husband, Charles "Todd" Cochran; brothers: James Holland, Bill Holland, and Ernest Holland; sisters: Margaret Pettinger and Kathleen Binns; and granddaughter: Carrie Cochran. Arrangements have been entrusted to Reid’s Funeral Home (506-832-5541), 1063 Main Street, Hampton, NB, where visitation will be held on Tuesday, October 6, 2020 from 6 to 9 PM. A private service will be held at a later date. Donations in memory of Elva may be made to the Lung Association (NB), Canadian Cancer Society (NB), or to the charity of the donor’s choice.
