It is with great sadness that the family of Myrna Winifred Smith announces her passing which occurred on September 8, 2020 at her home in Salt Springs, NB. Born in Salt Springs, NB on June 12, 1939, she was the daughter of the late Elton and Winnie (Davidson) McEwen. Myrna is survived by her loving husband of 62 years, Carl Smith; children: Roberta Cook (Rick) of Salt Springs, NB, Diane McGivery (Kevin) of Titusville, NB, David Smith (Kim) of Salt Springs, NB, Kimberly Campbell (Blaine) of Pumpkin Hill, NB, Peter Smith (Wendy) of Salt Springs, NB, and Terri Smith (Rheal Breau) of Millbrook, NB; grandchildren: Natasha, Carla, Tera, Kevin, Mitchell, Cody, Colton, Samantha, Rebecca, Michael, Karleigh, Nathanial and Hunter; great grandchildren: Gage, Hannah, Dawson, Jayde, Brooke, Jack, Makayla, Allie, Jayden, Hailey, Skyela and Olivia; brothers: Jimmy McEwen (Irene) of Salt Springs, NB, and Hal Lohnes of Saint John, NB; loving dog Daisy; as well as several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Myrna was predeceased by her son Michael Smith; and brothers: Paul and Howard McEwen. Arrangements have been entrusted to Reid’s Funeral Home (506-832-5541), 1063 Main Street, Hampton, NB. A celebration of Myrna’s life will be held on Tuesday, September 15, 2020 at 1:00pm at the Seventh Day Adventist Church Cemetery, Barnesville, NB. Donations in memory of Myrna may be made to the Salina Kirk United Church, Seventh Day Adventist Church Cemetery or to the charity of the donor’s choice.
