I once wrote a paper in school on the person who influenced me and changed my life. I wrote about Ferna Nice, the woman who taught me about God and showed me what love is. She gave the best hugs, lectured me when I needed it and just showed me I was worth something. I truly believe Ill get to heaven because she showed me I was made in His imagine and was worth more then I will ever know. I remember helping to prepare family meals, and being invited to join in. She made me feel like family and I truly felt like part of the family. Most of my teenage years were spent at the Nices. Thank you Ferna for teaching me how to be a great mom. Youll be missed. When I heard of her passing, a flood of very fond memories came rushing back of playing with the kids and running through the house and Ferna always having treats or something to eat. I have very fond memories of Ferna going back to the times of her visiting at Charlie Morrison's in Sussex and many church events in Titusville and Salts Springs years later. I well remember what a easy going person she was and raising a large family just seemed so natural to Ferna and Bud.
