Obituary of Nancy Hayes

It is with profound sadness that the family of Nancy Marlene Hayes announces her peaceful passing on July 5, 2020, at her residence in St. Martins, NB. Born in Sussex, NB on November 25, 1955, she was a daughter of the late Thomas and Marjorie (Smith) Forgrave. Nancy will live on in the hearts of Warren, her loving husband of 45 years; their children: Michael Hayes (Raye Ann), Samantha Brewer (Jeff), Jessica Barton (Mike), and Alyson Garnett (Rob); mother-in-law, Lorena Hayes; and the joys of her life, her grandchildren: Bryson, Silas, Lakyn, Thomas, Julia, and Emerson. She is also survived by her siblings: James Forgrave, Connie McVicar, Wendy Hepburn (Doug), Joanne Craft (Bernard), Paul Forgrave, Thomas Forgrave (Loretta), William Forgrave (Carol), and Marsha Aubin (Allen); as well as many nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Nancy was predeceased by her father-in-law, Patrick Hayes; her brother Richard Forgrave; brothers-in-law: James Hayes, James McVicar, and Ronald Clayton; and sister-in-law, Susan Taylor. Nancy was the coordinator and a dedicated volunteer for 33 years at the Lakewood Headstart Food Bank. She was a faithful member of St. Williams Catholic Church, and enjoyed being social with the St. Martins Seniors Group. She especially loved spending time with her family. The family would like to thank the Extra Mural Program and Dr. Luan Le for their exceptional care. Arrangements have been entrusted to Reid’s Funeral Home (506-832-5541), 1063 Main Street, Hampton, NB, and due to COVID-19 restrictions private services will be held. Donations in memory of Nancy may be made to the Lakewood Headstart Association or the charity of the donor’s choice.
