Obituary of Marilyn Evelyn Esther Bovaird
It is with great sadness that the family of Marilyn Evelyn Esther Bovaird, of Quispamsis, NB, announces her death which occurred on Friday, May 15, 2020 at the Dr. V.A. Snow Center. Born on the old Model Farm Road in Quispamsis, NB, on August 17, 1942, she was a daughter of the late Harley Seymour and Evelyn (Marr) McKnight.
Marilyn is survived by her loving husband, David Malcom Bovaird; her daughter, Wendy-Lee Elizabeth Bovaird; her sons: Donald James Arthur Bovaird and Derek Charles Harley Bovaird; and her siblings: Harley McKnight and Georgina Susan Reilly (Donald). Marilyn is also survived by her grandchildren: Alicia Anne Marie McGrath (Chris), Aaron David Laurent Bovaird, and Jorga Stella Bovaird.
In addition to her parents, Marilyn was predeceased by her brother, James McKnight; and twin granddaughters Samantha and Natasha Bovaird.
Marilyn was a caring wife and mother, and really loved her grandchildren. During her career she worked at the drive-in theatre that operated behind her house on Model Farm Road and at Deluxe on Rothesay Ave in Saint John. As a couple, Marilyn and David loved travelling to Europe and the USA, camping, and attending church.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Reid’s Funeral Home (506-832-5541), 1063 Main Street, Hampton, NB, and due to COVID-19 restrictions private services will be held.
