Obituary of Lois Frances Curtis

Lois Frances Curtis of Hampton, NB passed away peacefully, surrounded by her family, on Saturday March 21, 2020 at the age of 78. Born in Halifax, NS on May 1, 1941, she was the daughter of the late Frances E. Adams. Mom dearly loved her family and cherished the times when everyone was together. She spent 42 years working in the hair care and barbering field, with the majority of her career looking after the veterans and outpatients of Camp Hill Medical Hospital in Halifax, a time she treasured and found very rewarding. She was a member of St. Alphonsus Catholic Church (Blessed Trinity Parish) in Hampton, NB. Lois is survived by her children; Stephen Curtis (Kelly) and Carol Spence, a sister; Joan MacIntosh (John), and her beloved grandchildren; Stephen Spence, Cody Spence (Jon Lukawesky), Chad Spence and Kyle Curtis, along with several nieces and nephews. In addition to her mother, Lois was predeceased by husband Weldon, sister; Carol MacIntosh and twin brother; Kirk Adams. Arrangements have been entrusted to Reid’s Funeral Home (506-832-5541), 1063 Main Street, Hampton, NB. A private family interment will take place at a later date. The family would like to thank the doctors and nurses of Saint John Regional Hospital for the wonderful care Mom received during her stay.
