It is with great sadness that the family of Rosalene "Rose" Anne Denton of Quispamsis, NB announces her passing which occurred on Monday, March 9, 2020 at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born in Saint John, NB on November 14, 1938, she was a daughter of the late Clifford and Kathleen (Ellis) Godsoe. Rosalene is survived by her children: Cathleen Sorckoff of Edmonton, AB, Susan Steeves (Michael) of Quispamsis, NB, Cindy Legault (Joe) of Kingston, NB, Patricia Albert (Danny) of Saint John, NB, Lorralie Denton (Brian) of Miramichi, NB, and Herman Denton (Michelle) of Saint John, NB; nine grandchildren: Mitchell, Alisha, Jenna, Brooke, Alexandra, Rachelle, Keanu, Nigel and Ryelynn; two great grandchildren: Kenzie and Ryder; siblings: Clifford (Louise), Laurence, Evelyn, Marie and June; as well as many nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Rosalene is predeceased by her siblings: Dawn, Aileen, Margaret, Grace and Marlene. Arrangements have been entrusted to Reid’s Funeral Home (506-832-5541), 1063 Main Street, Hampton, NB where visitation will be held on Thursday, March 12, from 4 to 8 PM. The funeral service will be held on Friday, March 13, 2020 at 10:00am from Reid’s Funeral Chapel. Interment will take place in the spring at Hampton Rural Cemetery. Donations in memory of Rosalene may be made to the Heart & Stroke Foundation, Canadian Cancer Society or to the charity of the donor’s choice.
