Obituary of Grace Robinson
The death of Grace E. Robinson of Hampton, widow of Paul Robinson, occurred February 4, 2020 at Riverdale Manor Seniors Home, Hampton. She was born in Apohaqui, NB on February 8, 1930, daughter of the late G. Warren and Menota (Sproul) Floyd.
Grace was a cook and waitress at Hampton Diner. She also worked at Keddy’s and Wandlyn Motel retiring in 1982. Grace was an active member of St. Paul’s Presbyterian Church, Hampton for many years. She appreciated the assistance given by her church family after Paul’s passing, helping her move into Birch Grove Manor, driving her to church and church events.
She is survived by three sisters, Jean Thompson of Head of Millstream, NB, Mabel Black of Mississauga, ON, Doris Robinson (George) of Saint John; two brothers, Clifford Floyd (Carol) of Apohaqui, NB, Arnold Floyd of Erb Settlement, NB, several nieces and nephews. Grace was predeceased by two brothers, Elmer and Winsor Floyd and one sister, Bernice Coleman.
A special thank you to Krissy Travis and her compassionate and caring staff at Riverdale Manor Seniors Home. Grace loved her 90th year at Riverdale and wished she had moved there sooner.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Reid’s Funeral Home (506-832-5541), 1063 Main Street, Hampton, NB, where visitation will be held on Thursday, February 6, 2020 from 12:00 to 2:00 PM. Grace’s funeral service will follow at 2:00 PM. Interment will take place in the spring at Hampton Rural Cemetery.
