À l’hôpital régional de Saint-Jean, mardi le 24 décembre 2019, est décédé, à l’âge de 69 ans, Robert Joseph Thibodeau. Il demeurait à Hampton. Né le 28 septembre 1950 à Tracadie, il était le fils de feu Arthur et Marie (Chiasson) Thibodeau. Robert était un homme de prière, de compassion et de patience. De la construction à barbier ensuite bûcheron et finalement bleuetière qui était vraiment sa passion! Après les tracteurs bien sûr! Il était un excellent père de famille, aimait beaucoup les enfants et était un grand travaillant. Il laisse dans le deuil son épouse depuis 49 ans Rosemonde née Losier; trois filles Delima, Liette (Jean-Guy) et Janice (Jimmy); deux fils Gaëtan (Kathleen) et Sylvain (Jodi); dix-huit petits-enfants; huit arrière-petits-enfants; trois sœurs Thérèse (feu Stanley), Anita (feu Alvida) et Bertha (Manford); six frères, Médard (feu Adelia), Guy (Marie-May), Lucien (Marielle), Donald (Marie-Ange), Raymond (Valida), et Normand (Raymonde); ainsi que plusieurs nièces at neveux. Il fut précédé dans la tombe par une sœur Rita, quatre frères; Côme, Claude, Roger et Donat, ainsi que Médard, Guy et Gérald en bas âge. La famille recevra les condoléances au centre funéraire Reid’s, 1063, rue Main, Hampton (506-832-5541), ce dimanche de 14h00 à 16h00 et de 18h00 à 20h00. Les funérailles seront célébrées à l’église Catholic St. Alphonsus, 22 rue Church, Hampton, le lundi 30 décembre, à 11h00. Born in Tracadie, NB on September 28, 1950, he was the son of the late Arthur and Marie (Chiasson) Thibodeau. Robert was a man of God, a kind, compassionate and patient man. He was a man of many trades from construction worker to barber to lumber jack until he found his passion in his blueberry fields and running his tractors. Robert loved his family dearly and enjoyed watching his grandchildren and great grandchildren grow up. Robert is survived by his loving wife Rosemonde Thibodeau (nee Losier); children: Delima, Geatan (Kathleen), Liette (Jean-Guy), Janice (Jimmy) and Sylvain (Jodi); Siblings: Thérese (late Stanley), Medard (late Adelia), Guy (Marie-May), Anita (late Alvida), Lucien (Marielle), Berta (Manford), Donald (Marie-Ange), Raymond (Valida), and Normand (Raymonde); eighteen grandchildren; eight great grandchildren; as well as many nieces and nephews. Besides his parents, Robert was predeceased by his infant brothers: Médard, Guy and Gérald Thibodeau; brothers: Côme, Claude, Roger and Donat; and sister Rita. Arrangements have been entrusted to Reid’s Funeral Home (506-832-5541), 1063 Main Street, Hampton, NB where visitation will be held on Sunday, December 29, 2019 from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 PM. Mass of Christian Burial will take place on Monday, December 30, 2019 at 11:00 AM from St. Alphonsus Catholic Church.
