Dear Myrna and Buffy, I Can't tell you how sorry I was to hear of Dave's passing. I know he will be missed greatly. I do not think I can convey how important Dave was to me in those early years at the station. Just know that he was. I am sorry to hear this sad news. When I was in high school, I decided I wanted to be a tv reporter. I made a road trip to Saint John and met with Dave White. He gave me a real eye opening talk, (which fueled my determination and eventually led me to a ten year career at ATV News). I don't think mentors like this probably realize the impression they make on young people at the time. Anyway, I will always remember that little moment in time and I will think of Dave.

Myrna, very sorry to learn of Dave's passing, although we only got to know Dave later in life through his lumber mill, we considered you both as good friends. Dave's connection with our fathers, Art and Don, in Buckley's Cove was special and I still play his Benny Goodman tape from time to time. Wonderful memories I will always cherish. Myrna,Buffy: I was sorry to see the note on Dave's passing. He was an amazing friend, mentor, boss, and broadcaster. Anything I achieved in the craft was due to him. On top of that he provided a positive work environment at both CFBC and CHSJ, focused on doing it right the first time. It wasn't always work.
