Obituary of Joel Campbell

It is with profound sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Joel William Martin Campbell of Upham, age 33, at the Saint John Regional Hospital on Tuesday Nov 5, 2019. Born in Saint John NB, he was the son of Joanne (Donaldson) Campbell of Upham and the late Derek Campbell. Joel is survived in addition to his mother, by his sister Carrie Sonier and his brother in law Alvin Sonier of Titusville, also survived by a special niece/ goddaughter Dannicka Sonier, godson Jacob Fowler, his pets, Savannah and Sage. Joel was predeceased by his father Derek and his grand-parents. Joel was a Member of the Masonic Lodge Carleton Union #8, Saint John. Joel graduated from Hampton High School in 2004 and went on to NBCC Moncton to pursue a career in Electrical Engineering. Joel was an avid golfer and loved his Dodge Challenger. Loved the Toronto Maple Leafs and Toronto Blue Jays. Loved playing tricks on his cousin Tracy and gaming on his Computer and PS4. Joel enjoyed travelling, spending time with friends and especially spending time with his family. Loved any moments spent with his special niece and god daughter Dannicka. Joel was a great son, brother, Nephew, uncle and friend. He could always be counted on for a hug when needed, a laugh and an infectious smile that would make your day. Joel has always appreciated the care and support he received over the years from the Health professionals. He is incredibly missed and will never be forgotten. Arrangements have been entrusted to Reid’s Funeral Home (506-832-5541), Hampton, NB, There will be no visitation. A celebration of Joel’s life will be held 2:00 pm Monday, November 11, 2019 at St. Peter’s Anglican Church, Upham followed by a time of fellowship with the family in the Church Hall. Burial will be in the parish Cemetery. Donations in memory of Joel may be made to the NB Heart and Stroke or to a charity of the donor’s choice.
