Real Dad
Some people would say you’re not our real Dad
but we know this isn’t true
for you were a real Dad to us
in all the things we went through
We had our ups and downs
sometimes it’s hard to bend
but you were always there when we needed you
and that’s what matters in the end
You were patient, kind and firm
over the years as we’ve grown
and we are eternally grateful to you
because you treated us as your own
For though we weren’t tied by bloodlines
the love and trust you’ve given us
is a precious gift, day after day
that’s all that counts as a REAL Dad to us
