Obituary of Jonathan Tays
It is with breaking hearts, that we the family announce the passing of Jonathan Paul William Tays on Sept 6th, 2019. Jonathan was born in Saint John New Brunswick on Feb 12th, 1988.
Jonathan loved his Dog Storm, his friends and family. He spent many of evening watching Charmed and Roswell with his mom and sister. He would bring home new music to have them listen to, they were always "impressed" and it would end up in a dance competition. If you couldn’t dance to it, it wasn’t good music. Only Krissy could make him giggle with a touchless tickle. He did on occasion pull out the Elvis lips when he was not smiling.
Jonathan loved Football, specifically the jets and not the patriots!
He played football for the Hampton huskies and that created a life long love of the sport, he spent every Sunday yelling at the TV and sometimes fighting with his cousins about the game….
He loved adventures and hiking with his dog, Music festivals, tattoos and outdoor activities. One year he went to ministers island in minus 26 degree temperatures just for the Hike
He loved Magic cards, devils sticks (he was always ready to put on a show for his nieces, nephews and cousins), juggling and swimming,
Jonathan was an amazing swimmer, one summer he saved his little cousin from drowning at the Damascus.
Jonathan showed everyone all of his "women catching dance moves" at least that is what he told his young impressionable cousins.
He also, spent time working in Fort McMurray only to return home to his family and friends where his heart truly longed to be
Every picture he had a smile on his face that Sweet Baby Face. (the main reason why he grew a beard)
He loved his friends, Phone calls and time spent on facetime. He never had to be in the same place to make connections with his friends.
Jonathan would often say "Thanks Sis for always being there for me".
Jonathan was never one to walk away from his family without an I love you, a hug and a smile.
Jonathon is survived by his beloved dog Storm, his Mother Kim Tays (Bruce Cameron), his sister Kristy-Ann and his niece and nephew Emily and William Long; stepsisters Jen Burley (Scott), Melissa Cameron (Thomas ), Katlyn Cameron (Chris). Loving Uncles Michael Tays, Jason Tays, Stephan Thomas (Mary); his Aunts Sherry Tays, Wendy Ritchie (Rickie), Michelle Bembridge (Richard) and others; as well many cousins including Adam, Corey, Ryan, Jessica, Nick, Jenny, Kaitlin, Alicia, Jordon, Ryan and Hannah; and grandfather Eddie Thomas.
