Obituary of Marie Boles

It is with sadness that the family announces the passing of their "Mum" Ethel Marie Boles on July 3, 2019 at the Dr. V. A. Snow Centre in Hampton at the age of 87. Born in Elmhurst, NB, on September 19, 1931, she was the first child to the late Ronald and Hazel (Jones) Bates. Marie is survived by her daughter Janice (Mac); son Stephen (Lisa); son-in-law John; she was specifically known by her cherished grandchildren as Nana: Camille (Mike), Matthew (Sarah), Natalie (Ray), Lindsey (Robin), Melissa (Dwight), James (Zoey), Mark and Frank; loving great grandchildren: Molly & Sidney, Bentley & Chloe, Emma & Ethan, Tyrone & Dylan, Abigail, & Aiden; sister Betty Millican; sister in law Denise Bates; as well as many nieces, nephews and cousins. Besides her parents, Marie was predeaceased by her loving husband Murray; infant son Leonard; daughter Brenda; infant great grandson Seth; son-in-law Grant; siblings: Robert, Erma (David) Griffith, Gordon (Kay); and brother-in-law Gordie Millican. Marie was a member of the Kiersteadville United Baptist Church, a lifelong member of the Kiersteadville – Long Point Women’s Institute, a 10 year volunteer at the Hampton Food Basket and a member of the Women’s Missionary Society. Arrangements have been entrusted to Reid’s Funeral Home (506-832-5541), 1063 Main Street, Hampton, NB, where visitation will be held on Thursday, July 11, 2019 from 5 to 8pm. The funeral service will take place on Friday, July 12, 2019 at 11:00am from Kiersteadville United Baptist Church. Interment will take place at Kiersteadville Cemetery. Donations in memory of Marie may be made to the Kiersteadville United Baptist Church or the Hampton Food Basket preferred.
