Obituary of David Duffy
It is with heavy Hearts that the family of David Duffy of Nauwigewauk announce his passing on Wednesday June 5th 2019 at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born on the farm in Nauwigewauk 90 years ago, he was a son of the late John and Pearl (Fraser) Duffy. He was a lifelong dairy farmer and had many community involvements. He was especially proud of being a Volunteer Firefighter.
David is survived by 3 daughters; Susan O’Brien (Patrick), Cynthia Duffy (Gerald Lord), Marilyn McGuire (Bob Woods) and like a son; Davey Gee, 9 grandchildren; Michael, Julia, John, Patrick and Peter O’Brien, Emily, David and Duncan McGuire and Nick Duffy, 8 great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his twin brother Don Duffy of London ON, sisters; Louise Burgoyne of Fredericton and Ruth Moore of Ottawa.
David was predeceased by his wife Marianne (Ashley) Duffy, brother Mac and sisters; Dixie and Marie.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Reid’s Funeral Home (506-832-5541), 1063 Main Street, Hampton, NB. There will be no visitation by request. The funeral service will be held on Saturday, June 8th, at 1:00pm from Holy Trinity Anglican Church, Hammond River.
