Obituary of Dana G. McCullum

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Dana Guy McCullum of Kingston N.B, husband of the late Marjorie McCullum which occurred peacefully at the SJRH on Tuesday May 14th, surrounded by his family. Dana was born in Saint John, NB, on October 31st, 1961, a son to Ronald McCullum and the late Helen McCullum. Dana will be sadly missed by his son Tyler McCullum (Candace) of Havelock, NB; daughter Meghan McCullum (Collin) of Saint John NB, precious grandaughter Ava Rivers McCullum; sister Paula Charette (Pierre) of Acworth, GA; brothers Tim McCullum (Joanie) of Quispamsis N.B, Perry McCullum (Ray) of Saint John, NB, Andrew McCullum of Saint John, NB, and several nieces and nephews. Dana was a member of the Mooseheads 25 year club, having worked from 1978-2014. He was a westsider born and raised. In younger years, he'd go canoeing down the Caines River with a bunch of boys for a weekend to fish and be men. In the later years Dana enjoyed spending time on the deck with Marj and neighbors, always a beer in his hand or a cold drink to be had. After Marj passed Dana enjoyed spending time with his 2 best friends Harley and Whiskey and taking his four wheeler up the mountain to a view of what he said it must be like what experiencing God is. The family would like to thank the stuff of the M ICU at the SJRH for all of their attention to detail and compassion during this time. Arrangements have been entrusted to Reid’s Funeral Home (506-832-5541), 1063 Main Street, Hampton, NB. A funeral service will take place on Monday May 20th at 2:00 p.m. at Trinity Anglican Church, Kingston. A reception will follow at the Kingston Parish Hall. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in memory of Dana to Kings Church Celebrate Recovery, Ridgewood Addiction Services, or Mental Health New Brunswick.
