Obituary of Robert Kenneth Trail

Robert Kenneth Trail of Hampton, NB left this life and went to be with his Saviour on April 29, 2019 surrounded by his loving family. A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 2:00 pm Saturday, May 4, 2019 at Hampton Baptist Church, 776 Main St, Hampton. The Celebration will include time to share stories and memories and light refreshments. Robert was born in Woodstock, NB to Frank and Rita Trail on August 11, 1945 and married Noreen (Greer) on July 22, 1967. Robert worked primarily as an industrial insulator for many years. He enjoyed puttering around on various hobby farms, and helping friends and neighbours with whatever projects were on the go at the time- but all of these things took second place to loving and spending time with his wife, children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. As a member of Erbs Cove United Baptist Church, he enjoyed singing and welcoming everyone who entered the doors (especially the kids!). Robert is survived by his loving wife Noreen, son Frank (Gloria) Trail, daughter Stacy (Scott) Quigley, his brothers, Raymond (Linda) Trail, Alton Trail, Larry (Sheila) Trail, Jerry Trail, and his sister Joyce McGrath. He will be dearly missed by his grandchildren Melissa (Jeremy) Arrowsmith, Isaac Trail, Ben (Jessi) Trail, Hannah Trail, Zach Brien, and Kaleigha Quigley, and also by his great grandchildren, Aubree and Cohen Arrowsmith. Arrangements have been entrusted to Reid’s Funeral Home (506-832-5541), 1063 Main Street, Hampton, NB. Donations in memory of Robert may be made to a memorial of the donor’s choice. Personal condolences to the family and memorial donations may be made through ReidsFH.com. We ask that no flowers be brought as several family members have allergies. The entire family wishes to extend our sincere thanks to the staff of the ICU at the Saint John Regional Hospital for their incredible gentleness and support, and to our many family and friends praying for and reaching out to us during this time.
