Obituary of Wayne C. Stanley
It is with heavy hearts that the family of Wayne Curtis Stanley of Rothesay NB, announce his passing on Tuesday, February 26, 2019, at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Wayne was born in Saint John 72 years ago, a son of the late Curtis and Arlene (Edgar) Stanley. Wayne is survived by his children; Greg Stanley (Francine) of Dieppe, NB, Justin Stanley (Karen) of Nauwigewauk, NB, Jordan Stanley (Andrea) of China (PRC), Treena Stanley of Saint John, NB and Connie Gilroy of Nanaimo, BC, 2 brothers; Dave Stanley (Janinne) of Princeton ON, Wes Stanley (Diane) of Fort McMurray AB, 2 sisters; Donna Pope (Fred) of Keirsteadville, NB and Ruth Stanley (George) of Sussex, NB, 3 grandchildren; Cole, Roslyn and Violet.
Wayne loved his family and spending time with his children and grandchildren.
He appreciated the simple pleasures in life. He grew up with a firm commitment to hard work. In addition to working in his family business, he spent his working career behind the wheel including time with Day & Ross and Canadian Blood Services.
From long talks to long drives, he was passionate, reliable, enjoyed country & western movies and loved to listen to old country classics.
He was funny, witty, with a great sense of humour. Always looking for a laugh, he loved to joke and have fun with those around him.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Reid’s Funeral Home (506-832-5541), 1063 Main Street, Hampton, NB, There will be a Celebration of Life held in Wayne’s memory on Sunday March 3, 2019 from 2-4:00 pm at Reid’s Funeral home, Hampton. A private family graveside service will be held in the summertime at the Keirsteadville Cemetery.
