Isaac "Ike" Allen Merritt of Titusville died on Saturday, October 27, 2018 at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born at Cliffordvale, Victoria County, he was a son of the late Allen and Ethel M. (Lawton) Merritt. Isaac had been a resident of Yvonne’s Special Care Home for the last 27 years, and he enjoyed listening to country music. Ike is survived by his sister, Beryl Rideout of Kanata, ON; and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by sisters Mary Lomax, Marion Doyle, and Dorothy Warner; and by brothers Rubert, Walker, and James Merritt. Ike’s family would like to extend a sincere thank you to the staff of Yvonne’s Special Care Home, who not only cared for Ike’s needs, but welcomed him as part of their family. Although there will be no visitation, relatives and friends are invited to attend a grave side funeral service, which will be held on Saturday, November 3, 2018 at 1:00 PM at St. James’ Anglican Cemetery, Browns Flat.
