Jean Kingston of Hampton, wife of the late Douglas "Bud"Kingston, died on Friday, October 26, 2018 at St. Joseph’s Hospital. Born at Springfield, Kings County, she was a daughter of the late Walter and Florence (Northrup) Hoyt. In her younger years, Jean taught school on Darlings Island, but her main occupation was being a homemaker. She was a member of Christ Church, Bloomfield, and in her spare time enjoyed watching television, especially the game shows. Jean is survived by her son, Kenneth Kingston (Ginger Leavitt) of Norton; her daughter, Pam Bovaird of Saint John; grandchildren James, Jake, Tara, Beth, Owen, and Anthony; eleven great grandchildren; a sister, Marilyn Nickerson of Queenstown; and several nieces and nephews. Jean was predeceased by siblings Helen Brewer, Arthur Hoyt, and Evelyn Mercer. Arrangements have been entrusted to Reid’s Funeral Home, 1063 Main Street, Hampton. Visitation will take place on Tuesday, October 30, 2018 from 2-4 and 6-8 pm from the funeral home. The funeral service will be held on Wednesday at 11:00 am from Christ Church Anglican Church, Bloomfield. Interment will take place in the adjoining cemetery.
