Obituary of Annie Marie Chetley

The family of Annie Marie Chetley of Hampton formerly of Clifton Royal announce her passing at the Dr. V.A. Snow Centre in Hampton at the age of 101. Born in Yarmouth NS, she was the daughter of the late Maurice and Margaret LeBlanc. Annie is survived by her 3 daughters; Eleanor Baxter of Clifton Royal, Nancy Wade of Sussex and Susan Chetley of Stephenville NL, her son Russell Chetely Jr. of Kingston Peninsula, 12 grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren. Annie was predeceased by her husband Russell J. Chetley, a daughter Doris Howe and 2 brothers Edgar LeBlanc and Pete LeBlanc. Annie had many hobbies and loves throughout her long life. She enjoyed quilting very much, and would spend countless hours, sewing many of the pieces by hand, to make sure that every stitch was perfect. Her favourite time of the year was Christmas, and she loved to buy the most incredible decorations and spoil her family. She had a soft spot for animals, especially dogs. Annie loved music of all sorts very deeply, and loved singing and dancing. Her family was extremely important to her, and she loved to spend time with them. She also enjoyed reading and doing word searches. Annie was always a night owl, and could often be found enjoying snacks and treats in the wee hours of the morning with the wonderful staff at the V. A. Snow Center. Arrangements have been entrusted to Reid’s Funeral Home (506-832-5541), 1063 Main Street, Hampton, NB, where visitation will be held on Monday, August 6, 2018 from 2 to 4 pm. Private family Interment will take place at St Bridgett’s Cemetery, Chapel Gove. Donations in memory of Annie may be made to the Dr. V.A. Snow Centre or to the charity of the donor’s choice.
