Obituary of Eldon E. Marchbank
It is with heavy hearts that the family of Eldon Marchbank of Lakeside NB, announce his passing at his home on July 12, 2018 at the age of 70. Born in Sussex NB, he was the son of the late Ervine and Annie (Crossman) Marchbank . Eldon is survived by his wife Margaret(Walsh) Marchbank, his son Andrew Marchbank (Jade) of Salt Springs, his daughters; Angela Marchbank , Reanie Thompson (David) and Skylar Marchbank all of Lakeside, four brothers; Curtis Marchbank (Bonnie) of Lakeside, Ervine Marchbank (Cherry) of Lakeside, Frederick Marchbank (Melissa) of Southfield and Tony Marchbank of Lakeside, three sisters; Laverne Cameron of Salt Springs , Lorraine Walsh (Mike) Hampton and Connie Marchbank-Totton (Doug) of Midland, his grandchildren; Madelyn, Maverick, Annabelle and Denver and a number of nieces and nephews.
Eldon was predeceased by his parents and by nephews; Roger Cameron and Joe Marchbank.
Eldon was a devoted husband to his wife Margaret for 42 years. He was a father, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend. Eldon was well known for being a hard worker and a man that loved his family dearly. He was always there to lend a helping hand to those in need. The largest part of his career was with Saint John Shipbuilding as a burner. The last 15 years of his working life was with API Construction. Eldon took pride in his work, but was most proud of his children and grandchildren. He is missed and will live on in our hearts forever.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Reid’s Funeral Home (506-832-5541), 1063 Main Street, Hampton, NB, where visitation will be held on Monday, July 16, 2018 from 2-4 & 6-8 pm. A Celebration of Eldon’s Life will be held 11 am Tuesday, July 17th, 2018 at Reid’s Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will be in Titus Hill Cemetery.
