Obituary of Kevin Evans
Kevin Evans of Hampton, adored husband of Sally I. (Holmes) Evans, died peacefully on Saturday, May 26, 2018 at home, surrounded by his girls. Kevin was born in Port au Port, NL in 1941, a son of the late Buller and Catherine (MacKay) Evans. He worked as a paper maker at Irving Tissue for over 40 years, officially retiring in 2006. In his spare time, Kevin liked to refinish furniture, listen to music, and he enjoyed the company of his family and friends, and loved his little dog, Chase.
In addition to his wife, Kevin is survived by his children, Ryan Evans (Michelle) of Edmonton, AB, Raegan Evans-Hoyt (Tim) of Bloomfield, and Amanda Pangborn of Hampton; step-children Melanie Campbell (Tracy) of Woodstock, and Matthew Harris (Melissa) of PEI; grandchildren Colton, Kristopher, Chelsea, Cameron, Katherine, and Keller Hoyt, Dillyn Burns, Sophia Pangborn, Bradley and Elizabeth Campbell, and Owen and Maxwell Harris; his siblings, Doug McDonald (Gladys) of Port au Port, NL, Lola Gregory (John) of Corner Brook, NL, and Hazel Tilley of Mount Pearl, NL; as well as many special nieces and nephews.
Besides his parents, Kevin was predeceased by a grandson, Cilas Hoyt.
Although there will be no visitation, relatives and friends are invited to attend a celebration of Kevin’s life, which will be held on Saturday, June 2, 2018 at 2:00 PM from St. Paul’s Presbyterian Church, 978 Main Street, Hampton.
