It is with heavy hearts the family of Eugene Arno Sawler announce his passing on May 22nd, 2018 at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born on May 21st, 1949 in New Jerusalem, New Brunswick, he was the son of the late Ira Eugene and Irene Augusta (Hamilton) Sawler. Eugene served 3 years in the military, worked in forestry then in the mid ‘80’s started his own shingle business. During his own time he enjoyed mechanical work and later on in life he picked up wood working. He is survived by his daughter Carol Doucette (Pat), son Kirk Sawler (Ashley),Grandson Michael Allen, ex wife Irene Sawler and his sidekick Star (dog). Arrangements have been entrusted to Reid’s Funeral Home (506-832-5541), 1063 Main Street, Hampton, NB. On Saturday, June 2nd 2018 at 2pm, there will be a celebration of life at Eugene’s lifelong residence, 3074 Route 845, Long Reach, NB.
