Obituary of Carol Ann MacFadzen

It is with heavy hearts that the family of Carol Ann MacFadzen announces her sudden and unexpected passing which occurred on Saturday, April 14, 2018 at her home in Lakeside, NB. Born in Summerside, PE, on March 4, 1956, she was the daughter of the late Hugh and Stella (Perry) Daley. She will forever be remembered as a generous soul who was always willing to lend a hand, ear or heart whenever needed. Carol Ann was a foster mom to three teen girls who needed a place to lay their heads. She was amazingly quick to make new friends everywhere she went and was a genuine spirit you were lucky to meet. She loved to travel and experience new places. Her smile could be seen across the room and her laugh heard for miles. Carol Ann was loved by so many and she will be missed greatly by those she left behind; her son, Howard MacFadzen and his wife Michelle of Halifax, NS; daughters: Roxanne MacFadzen of Lakeside, NB, Melissa Hannah and her husband Jason of Fredericton, NB, Riki-Lyn Hutchins and her fiancé Jamie of Calgary, AB, and Jerri-Lynn Hervey and her husband Cody of Calgary, AB; brother Richard Daley of Lakeside, NB; sisters: Joan Jenkins (George) of Saint John, NB, Jean Selman (Walter) of Passekeag, NB, Ellen Costain (Gene) of Rothesay, NB, Doris Beck of Greenwood, NS; grandchildren: Shawna, Colton, Connor (Roxanne), Abby (Howard), Allison, Nathan (Melissa), Tanner, Levi, Brady and Emma (Jerri-Lynn); as well as two special grand-fur-babies, Bruno and Flash (Riki-Lyn). She is now reunited with those who passed before her: her parents, Hugh and Stella, and her love, Robert "Bob" Jack. We love you and know you will always be watching over each and every one of us. Arrangements have been entrusted to Reid’s Funeral Home (506-832-5541), 1063 Main Street, Hampton, NB, where visitation will be held on Saturday, April 21, 2018 from 12 to 2pm with a memorial service following at 2pm from Reid’s Funeral Home Chapel. A private family interment will take place at a later date. Donations in memory of Carol Ann may be made to the IWK Children’s Hospital Foundation or to the memorial of the donor’s choice.
