It is with heavy hearts that the family of John C. Sherwood of Hampton announce his passing at the Saint John Regional Hospital on Saturday March 17th 2018. John was born 76 years ago in Saint John, the son of the late John (Jack) and Bernice (Lord) Sherwood. John is survived by his wife of 43 years Barb; his children Jason (Gabrielle), and Christine; Grandchildren Isabelle, Emily, Avery and Liam who always gave him much joy and a smile on his face whenever they were around, sister Colleen (Gordon) Dugas as well as several wonderful nephews, one niece and cousins. In addition to his parents John was predeceased by a brother David, sisters Dianna (Naves) and Marry-Ellen (Doyle) and brother-in-law Danny (Doyle). John retired several years ago from NB Liquor and also worked at Willett Food until closing in 1993. John was involved with the Hampton Royal Canadian Legion #28, both as a member and as past president from 2014-2017. He also enjoyed camping and traveling with his family. Arrangements have been entrusted to Reid’s Funeral Home (506-832-5541), 1063 Main Street, Hampton, NB. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St Alphonsus Church, Hampton on Wednesday March 21st at 11am.
