The family of Millen (Moose) Francis Stevens of Kingston NB announces his passing at the Saint John Regional Hospital on February 23 2018. Born in Saint John in 1929, he was the son of the late Millen M. and Margaret (Parks) Stevens. Millen is survived by his sons; Millen M. Stevens (Heather) of Hampton, John Stevens (Amanda) of Hampton and Gerry Flagg (Joanne) of Grand Manan, a daughter Ramona Fanning (Arthur) of Saint John, sisters; Donna Craig of Saint John, Nancy Chaisson of Delta BC, a brother Martin Stevens of Alberta, 5 grandchildren and a number of great grandchildren. Moose was employed for his whole working life as a longshoreman at the Port of Saint John, retiring in the early 1980's. Millen had a great passion for horses, hunting and working with his hands. Millen was predeceased by his wife Theresa (Martin) Stevens, his sister Betty Bridgeo and his daughter Margaret Corey. He was also predeceased by his long time companion Dorothy Curwin. Arrangements have been entrusted to Reid’s Funeral Home (506-832-5541), 1063 Main Street, Hampton, NB. At Millen’s request there will be no visitation or service. Burial will be in the springtime at Titus Hill Cemetery. Donations in memory of Millen may be made to the Parkinson’s Foundation.
