Obituary of Marjorie Thomas

It is with great sadness that the family of Marjorie Grace Thomas announces her passing which occurred unexpectedly on February 21, 2018 at St. Joseph’s Hospital, Saint John. Marjorie was born on March 14, 1937; the daughter of the late Grace(Fisher) and Clarence Stewart. She was first and foremost a loving Mother, Aunt, Grandmother and Sister. Marjorie had a Talent for meeting and making friends and loved to make people laugh. Her great sense of humor will be missed. She found time for everyone and enjoyed the simple pleasures of life: visiting family, travelling, baking and knitting, and was an avid bingo player. She was the loving Mother of Daughter, Judy Bond (Husband Kevin, deceased) of Kingston, NB; and Son, Robert Lee Thomas (Kandy) of Sussex Corner, NB. She will be missed by her Former Husband and Father of her Children, Hubert Thomas of Hampton, NB. She leaves behind Three Grandchildren: Robin Marie Floyd (Jason), Fallon Christine Thomas (Nathan) and Heather Ann Plume (Matthew). Five Great Grandchildren: Carter Floyd, Marcia Floyd, Joanna Mullin, Leah Mullin and Ali Plume. Three Step-Grandchildren; Nathanial Bond, Robin (Mellisa) and Heidi Coggan (Cameron). Five Step-Great Grandchildren; Riley and Blake Coggan; Kayne Walker; Alexa and Paisley Coggan. Brothers: Murray Stewart (Gail) of Thunder Bay, Ontario, Paul Stewart of Toronto, Ontario; and Sisters: Norma Grundy of Sussex Corner, NB, and Joyce Stewart (Lawrence) of Souris, BC; as well as many Nieces, Nephews and extended family members: Ann Thomas (Landry) and dear friend Meleita Campbell. Marjorie was predeceased by her Son, Peter Allan; Sisters: Ruth Stewart, Carol Stewart and Janet Stewart; and Brothers: James Stewart and Gordon Stewart. Arrangements have been entrusted to Reid’s Funeral Home (506-832-5541), 1063 Main Street, Hampton, NB. A Memorial service in celebration of Marjorie’s life will be held on Thursday, March 15, 2018, at 1:00pm from St. Paul's Anglican Church. Interment will take place at St. Paul’s Anglican Cemetery in the spring. Donations in memory of Marjorie may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society, Heart and Stroke Foundation or to the memorial of the donor’s choice.
