Obituary of Janet Golding

After a brief illness, Janet Evelyn Golding, of Kingston NB, passed away peacefully at Hospice House Fredericton surrounded by her family. Born in Truro Nova Scotia on January 25th, 1948, Janet was the daughter of the late Connie and Wilfred Deuville. Janet always had a great sense of humor, telling jokes, pulling pranks, or just her quick witted one-liners. She always knew how to put a smile on someone’s face. Mom enjoyed travelling to Jams all around the province. Where there was music, Janet and her life long partner, Rick, were there, meeting new friends every step of the way. Sometimes even bringing the "misfits" along for the ride. Mom loved life and made the most out of each and every day. Later in life she developed a passion for playing keyboard, guitar and singing her heart out at many Kitchen parties. She was so proud having 3 CD’s, the last one appropriately named Tennessee Moon. She will be remembered by many for her clogging, musical entertainment and volunteering with Rick at Senior Homes in the community. In addition to her life partner and best friend of 48 years, Rick, she is also survived by 2 sons, Joel of Quispamsis and grandchildren Jeremy and Meaghan; Jasen (Stephanie) of Fredericton and grandchildren Tyler and Emily and daughter Rona (Jimmy) of Kingston and grand-daughter Allyson. Two brothers, Gary (Maryellen) of Windsor, Ontario; Tommy (Lori) of Saint John and sister Dee of Halifax, NS. Four loved grand puppies; Sadie, Marvin, Bear and Belle. We would to like thank everyone for the love and support for Mom and our family. A special thank you to Fredericton Hospice House staff and Dr. Sainz for the compassionate care given at the end of her journey. "When you’re thinking of me, I will be thinking of you."
