Obituary of Merle London

With celebration of a life well lived, we announce the passing of Merle Esther London (Fillmore), of Hampton, NB, which occurred on Monday, August 7, 2017 at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born in Corn Hill, NB, she was a daughter of the late Calvin Fillmore and S. Merle loved playing tennis since a very young age, winning various awards and trophies throughout her life. She was also involved with the St. Paul’s Anglican Church Choir in which she thoroughly enjoyed singing for events and church services. Teaching herself how to sew and knit, Merle became a very talented seamstress. She would knit all types of sweaters and other beautiful items and was known for her excellent work and dedication. Above all her interests and hobbies, Merle loved her family and friends the most, always lighting up the room with her bright smile. No matter what Merle faced throughout her life, she kept a positive outlook and never once let herself become discouraged.
