With sadness and celebration of a life well lived, the family of Katherine "Kay" Edith Parfitt, age 76, of Penobsquis, NB, announces her death which occurred on Monday, May 15, 2017 at her home with her family by her side. Born in Saint John, NB, on March 9, 1941, she was the daughter of the late Fred and Margaret (Coburn) Long. Kay is survived by her loving husband of 54 years, David Parfitt; daughter Linda (Paul) Glaspy of Nauwigewauk, NB; granddaughter Sarah Glaspy of Nauwigewauk, NB; two brothers-in-law; two sisters-in-law; as well as several nieces and nephews. Besides her parents, Kay was predeceased by her son-in-law Larry Glaspy. Arrangements have been entrusted to Reid’s Funeral Home (506-832-5541), 1063 Main Street, Hampton, NB. A Celebration of her life will be held on Tuesday, May 23, 2017 at 11:00am from Reid’s Funeral Home Chapel conducted by Rev. Kelly Hudson-Lewis. Interment will be held at Long Reach United Cemetery.
