It is with sadness that the family of Myrna Pearl Cooke, age 96, of Nauwigewauk, NB, announces her death which occurred on Sunday, December 4, 2016 at the Kings Way Care Centre, Quispamsis. Born on March 9, 1920, in Sussex, NB, she was a daughter of the late James and Sarah (Virtue) Robinson. Myrna is survived by her daughters: Margaret McGillicuddy and her husband Joseph of Holiday, FL, and Patricia Lamb and her husband Leslie of Nauwigewauk, NB; granddaughters: Elaine Chestnut and her husband Tim of Quispamsis, NB, and Twilah Johnson of Apopka, FL; great granddaughters: Tara Chestnut of Edmonton, AB, and Erica Chestnut of St. John’s, NL; brother Donald Robinson and his wife Elsie; as well as many nieces and nephews. Besides her parents, Myrna was predeceased by her loving husband Herbert Cooke in 1996; sisters: Mona MacDonald, Eurilla Hawkes, Lilly Martin, Dolly Patton, Glenne Starkey, Edith Armstrong and Mary Ryan; and brothers: Alex Robinson, Murray Robinson and Noble Robinson. Arrangements have been entrusted to Reid’s Funeral Home (506-832-5541), 1063 Main Street, Hampton. The funeral service will be held on Thursday, December 8, 2016 at 1:30PM from Kings Way Care Centre, Quispamsis, NB. A private family interment will take place at the Church of the Ascension Cemetery, Lower Norton Shore, NB. The family would like to express a special thank you to the staff of Kings Way Care Centre for their care and compassion towards Mryna.
