It is with sadness that the family of Richard "Rick" Douglas Stein, age 60, of Passekeag, NB, announces his death which occurred on Wednesday, November 2, 2016 at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born in Ontario, on January 25, 1956, he was a son of Percy and the late Dorothy (Guilfoil) Stein. Rick is survived by his son Jamie Voutour of Kingston, ON; brothers: Stephen Stein of Saint John, NB, Terry Stein (Carol) of Saint John, NB, David Stein of Toronto, ON, and Robert Stein (Gay) of Ottawa, ON; sister Brenda Stein of Fredericton, NB; aunt Audrey Rupert; loving friend Lois Ann McGuire and her children: Kim Varga (John), Wendy McGuire (Bart) and Tina Dwyer (Kevin), also known as Papa Rick to their children Josh, Amy and Mira. Arrangements have been entrusted to Reid’s Funeral Home (506-832-5541), 1063 Main Street, Hampton, NB, and will be held privately. A private family interment will take place at a later date. Donations in memory of Rick may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society, Heart & Stroke Foundation or to the memorial of the donor’s choice.
