Obituary of Terry Morrell

After a courageous battle with cancer, the peaceful passing of Terrence "Terry" Arnold Morrell occurred on Wednesday, August 31, 2016 at his home surrounded by his loving family. He was born on June 17, 1947, in Saint John, NB, the son of the late Harry and Jean (Yeomans) Morrell. Terry began his working career as an electrician with Local 502, but following an injury he was forced to change his vocation. He then began a long career in the car business, spending the last 22 years with Fundy Honda. Terry loved all sports and sport related events. As a sports enthusiast he spent a lot of time at the local ball fields, where he both coached and played baseball. Later in life, Terry shared his knowledge with his sons and grandchildren, following them from game to game, whether it was baseball or hockey. For Terry it was all about sports! Terry is survived by his loving wife Arlene (Hunter) Morrell of 44 years; sons Corey (Stacey) Morrell of Edmonton, AB and Courtney (Michelle) Morrell of St. Martins, NB; grandchildren: Ashton, Jackson and Jacey; sister Donna Lee (Merv) Hebb of St. Martins, NB; step grandmother Genevive Dugas; as well as nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles. Arrangements have been entrusted to Reid’s Funeral Home (506-832-5541), 1063 Main Street, Hampton, NB, from where the visitation will be held on Sunday, September 4, 2016 from 2 to 8 PM. The funeral service will be held on Monday, September 5, 2016 at 11:00 AM with Rev. Len Mills presiding from St. Martins United Church. A reception will take place following the service at the St. Martins Community Centre. A private family interment will take place at St. Martins Community Cemetery at a later date. The family wishes to express their sincere thanks to KV Extra Mural for the excellent care given to Terry. You are a hospital without walls, with angels as caregivers.
