I remember Kaye with such fondness. As a young girl, Kaye was most admired as she was always impeccably put together! She took such an interest in people and was a blast to be around. As a teenager, I had the pleasure of staying at the family home many times a winter prior to figure skating practices in Saint John. Her home was the first place that I tasted chocolate Cocoa Pops! Later in life, we enjoyed a few lunches together on her whirlwind trip to Montreal. This in and out travel on the same day also sounded so glamorous!. Kaye will be remembered with immense love and fondness. My deepest condolences to the whole family. Love, Ann

On behalf of my mother and father, Evelyn and Bruce Anderson, we express our sympathy to you on Kay's passing. Evelyn and Bruce are well considering they are 94 and 96. They gave up the computer a few years ago (along with the car) but I know they would want to express their thoughts with you on line. When I read the obit this morning in the Moncton Transcript, I thought "must see if mother wants to go to the funeral" until I realized it was that morning. Evelyn would often speak of Kay as they were life long friends. I visited Mom this morning in their assisted living facility (Camden Court)and she described the last time they met. It was 3 years ago, when Bruce was still driving. They visited Kay in the home in Hampton and took her to lunch with Martha and one of the grandchildren. She smiled when she talked about it. No tears. This past winter, I spent some time reviewing some colour slides Bruce had taken in the early 1940's. There were photos of Kay, Evelyn and her sister Dorothy (deceased in 1997). They must have been quite the gang in those days and likely turned the heads on many a man. I recall a visit to Hampton when I was a kid back in the 1960's to visit the family as well as several visits at the Shediac Cape cottage. Mom also enjoyed having Kay as a neighbour for a few years after she and Bruce moved to Shediac in 1989. I know it was a great loss to Evelyn and Kay when Dorothy died far too soon. May Kay rest in peace and know that the Andersons of Fredericton, Shediac and Moncton thought very highly of her and will miss her.

Thinking of visits to Mrs. Ruddick since meeting in 2010. She shared her special journal she kept during the 15 crossings with war brides. Her dedication and volunteer work I speak of often. Enjoyed her cookies and tea in the sunroom at Shediac Cape looking at photos of her family and friends. Such a classy lady with a big heart. Thinking of Martha and the family.
