After a battle with cancer, Dwight Throop passed away on April 12, 2016. Dwight grew up in Eastern Ontario but after meeting his true love Jean (Crawford) of Hampton, he came to love New Brunswick too. His teaching career took him to Perth, Smith Falls, Niagara Falls and Etobicoke, Ontario. He was principal of Kingsview Village, Greenholme and Sir Adam Beck. But every summer they would make the trip to the Bellisle Bay in New Brunswick to relax with family and friends. He continued to make the trip every summer after her passing in 2004. Dwight is predeceased by his beloved wife Jean, of 51 years, and their older son, Bruce. His funeral was held at Humber Valley United Church, Toronto on April 16, 2016. A Committal service will be held at the Hampton Rural Cemetery, Hampton, New Brunswick on August 1 at 10 a.m.
