Obituary of Lois Muir

It is with sadness, the family announces the death Lois Margaret Muir, age 74, of Saint John, NB, which occurred on Saturday June 11, 2016, at her home. She was born on October 27, 1941, in Saint John, NB, a daughter of the late Howard and Annie (Turnbull) Coggan. Lois was a school bus driver for over 30 years, after which she retired and spent her time enjoying her friends and family. Her passions were watching the birds and tending to her gardens. Lois always enjoyed hunting, fishing, four wheeling and canoeing whenever she had the opportunity. She loved nature and always took the time to appreciate the beauty of the outdoors. She is survived by her children: Mark Muir and his wife Tammy of Norton, NB, Donna Siefert and her husband John of Saint John, NB, Stephen Muir and his wife Amy of Belleisle Creek, NB, and Sandy Cantelo and her husband Joe of Rothesay, NB; special companion Tom McQuinn; siblings: Barb (Jack) Doucette, Bill (Paulette) Coggan, Edward (Sandy) Coggan and Linda (Ronnie) Stockford; grandchildren: Justin (Jill) Wood, Morgan Muir, Jeffrey (Ali) Wood, Chelsea Muir, Amanda Muir, Tyler Muir, Tyler Siefert and Ian Deuville; special great grandchildren: Isabella, Nyla and Rowan; as well as several nieces and nephews. Besides her parents, Lois was predeceased by her husband Ted Muir and brother Carl Coggan. Arrangements have been entrusted to Reid’s Funeral Home (506 832- 5541) 1063 Main Street, Hampton, NB, with visitation on Tuesday, June 14, 2016 from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8PM. The funeral service will be held from Reid’s Funeral Home Chapel at 11:00AM on Wednesday, June 15, 2016. Interment will take place in the Hampton Rural Cemetery. Donations in memory of Lois may be made to the Lung Association, Heart & Stroke Foundation or to the memorial of donor’s choice.
