Obituary of Roy Bernard Doherty

It is with great sadness that the family of Roy Bernard Doherty announce his passing which occurred on Thursday, April 19, 2023, at Sussex, NB. Born November 17, 1970, Roy was the 6^th child of 8 of Edna (Allan) and the late Roy Doherty.

Roy’s pride and joy were his children Alex and Logan.  All that knew Roy experienced his fantastic sense of humor and relentless teasing with that infectious laugh that everyone knew and loved.  He enjoyed hunting, fishing, Nascar, and most of all hanging with his family.

In addition to his mother, Edna Allen of Saint John, Roy is survived by: his children, Alex and Logan, his wife Carrie (Sutton), sisters Mary MacKenzie (Avard), Carters Pt. NB, Katherine Doherty (David), London, ON, and brother Stephen Doherty (Larry) of Toronto, ON and as well as several nieces and nephews. Roy is predeceased by his brother Charlie, sisters Emily Doucette, Phyllis Roy, and Patricia Doherty.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Reid’s Funeral Home (506-832-5541), 1063 Main Street, Hampton, NB where visitation will be held on Monday, April 24, 2023 from 4-6 pm, followed by the funeral service at 6:30 pm.   Interment will take place at St. Alphonsus Catholic Cemetery at a later date.
